The Albaraka Banking Group (ABG) Bahrain Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Adnan A Yousuf would be visiting Pakistan from February 01 to 02, 2005. Adnan is accompanied by Albaraka Islamic Bank Bahrain's General Manager Saleh A Zainalabedin and Assistant General Manager Tariq M Kazim. During his stay, he would be visiting Pakistan branches of the bank, besides calling on the Governor State Bank of Pakistan, senior bankers and members of the business community.

ABG is the banking arm of the Saudi conglomerate Dallah Albaraka with an authorised capital of dollars 1.5 billion. Dallah Albaraka Group is consolidating its 19 banks world-wide under the umbrella of ABG.

Adnan, who is heading ABG, has rich banking experience of over 25 years with banks like American Express, Arab Banking Corporation and Bahrain Islamic Bank. Recently, the World Islamic Banking Forum declared him Islamic Banker of the year.

Albaraka Islamic Bank is a scheduled foreign bank, registered in Bahrain and operating in Pakistan since 1992. Currently, seven full-fledged branches are operational in Pakistan in all the important cities. Plans are afoot to open more branches in other cities of Pakistan, in the near future.
